Mexico Tourist Cards?

Hi there, I live in Phoenix, AZ, and my family and I are planning on an impromptu 1-3 day trip to Rocky Point. I have been reading up on the Mexico Tourist Cards and I was wondering if every person in my family needed one (there are 6 of us).

Any other basic travel info would be great too because it is our first time to Mexico.

Yes everyone in your family will need a mexico tourist permit, only if your traveling pass 20 km into mexico. If your just staying within 20 km in border towns no you do not need them. The mexico tourist permit is free up to seven day stay, however if you are staying longer (as you stated earlier you are not) it will cost $23.00 usd for up to 180 day.  Your family will need birth cert. and state photo id for each member of your family or a US passport to get tourist permit from mexico.
