  1. You each need  a photo I.D. and a proof of citizenship...EITHER a passport OR a birth certificate.  See site below for current law.  If you are all over 18, you do NOT need parental permission letters.

  2. you either need 2 forms on ID or a passport.

best thing for ID is your birth cert and license.

I go back and forth a lot (bf lives in canada, im from MI)

be upfront with what you are doing and how long you are going to be there and you should have no problems. Also have notes from parents...it can help alot since you are not legal in Canada yet (legal age is 19)

dont try to bring drugs or booze (they will send you to immigration and deny you)

no you dont have to be 21. just have a note with your address and who can contact you if injured (insurance info) and that your parents give permission since 18 isnt legal in MI as well. well not for everything, but its just a safety thing.

even school Id will help if you have one. tell them your on spring break and where your going and how long you will be gone.

IE: Im going to sarnia and will be at the holiday inn on venitian blvd. I will be there for 2 days.

    simple as that.
