Michigan vs. Ohio State?

Who will win this game between the Wolverines and Buckeyes, which is being played in Columbus? This is Michigan's final game of the regular season, and their 5th game on the road. I have the Wolverines at 10-1 going into this classic rivalry game, with blowout wins over Utah, Miami (OH), Notre Dame, Toledo, Michigan State, and Northwestern; solid wins over Illinois, Purdue, and Minnesota; a close win over Penn State, and a close loss to Wisconsin.

Will the Buckeyes make it a record 5 in a row over the Maize and Blue, or is this 1969 all over again?

  1. Michigan will not be blowing out anyone. They will already have losses to Utah, Michigan State, Illinois, and Penn State...AT LEAST.

Ohio State will be a one loss team contending for a Nationa Title shot.

Ohio State will dismantle Michigan this year. 35-14.

Next year though should be more interesting.

  2. I will be pulling for Michigan as I always do when they play OSU.

I am afraid it will not help them. Osu wins easily. I suspect OSU only loss in the regular season will be to USC.

  3. This is probably the fastest Michigan team in 20 years, if you look at their defense, and all of the talent it has, i don't know how Ohio State is going to get by it, because they have done nothing against speed or the spread offense the last few years. And also, Michigan's offense will start clicking by then. I don't know about you, but I think that equals a win for Michigan. It'll be a low scoring defensive game, but they'll get the buckeyes this year.

    Michigan-21

    Ohio State-17

  4. Sorry, Blue. Ten-win seasons are a thing of the past until Rich Rodriguez gets his spread up and running. There will be confusion, there will be losses, and there will be grumbling fans by the end of the season. Everything is going to be fine, just not right away. Call it 7-5 or 8-4. They lose their first and second string qb's, #1 running back, their top 2 wide outs and their coach. Ohio State will win. Go Buckeyes!

  5. it's still Ohio state's era.  Michigan is rebuilding and quite frankly not that good.  They'll get them eventually, but not now.

    OSU 28-16

  6. Who cares?  Both teams are overrated.  Also, I don't know how you have Michigan going into the game 10-1.  You do know they hired Rodriguez.  He is not that good of a coach.  If I have to predict though, I'll say Ohio St. again.

  7. The most educated guess would be that Ohio St is going to tear Michigan a new one.  They are a team in transition, with a major philosophy change on offense and the personel running that offense were recruited for an entirely different style of play.  THIS IS NOT GOING TO BE A GOOD YEAR FOR MICHIGAN.  10-1 is not happening.  No Chance.  Last year's team was better and didn't have a new ****** of a coach to deal with, and they lost what 3 games in the regular season?

I have a gut feeling however that they will upset Ohio St.  They're going to be 5-6 and looking for a bowl berth, or 6-5 looking to move up a bowl, at that point and need a win.  Their Offensive line will be settled into the spread by that point and some of they will be pulling out all the stops while Ohio St may be playing more conservative ball based off the Wolverine's ealier lack of success.

    Logically- Buckeyes 42- Michigan 24

My Prediction- Michigan 37- Ohio St- 31

  8. The Buckeyes will win easily,31-14.Go Bucks!

  9. dude....the wolverines will be lucky to go 7-5 this season........I see buckeyes beating them by 17......rich rodriguez doesnt have what he needs to run his offense and wont be ready for the buckeyes and their 19 returning starters......also juice Williams and the illini are gonna steam roll them too

  10. Michigan has the potential to beat OSU. Yet OSU has the home field advantage. But, Michigan has a rock solid defense and OSU runs a version of the spread too. OSU has a great defense too. But by this time Michigan O-line will be better because if you look at the team its the only weakness they have. Michigan I think can pull off the upset 17-14 in overtime. Michigan will go to the Rose bowl against Oregon and take revenge by beating them 45-10. And next Years team has the potential with all the recruits coming in for next year to be one of the best in college footballs Modern era.

  11. are you out of your mind?first off michigan is goin to run the spread offense.and they dont have the personal to run it.so if they finish .500 it will be a miracle.

osu on the other hand is stacked at almost every position and with wells pryor and the rest of the team  mich is goin to lose   not to mention the game is in ohio stadium.

  12. michigan will have some growing pains this season so you need to temper your expectations some. utah is better than appalachian state so the wolverines may not even win their first game, let alone the last game to the buckeyes. it's ok though, teams better get their shots in while they can on the blue and gold because after this season the entire big ten is going to have to be the one that adjust to the michigan.

the buckeyes should not worry so much about the wolverines, they should focus on not getting embarrassed so badly in bowl games, and focus on their community showing some class to visitors.

  13. well great prediction i believe this will go down to the final drive
