  1. Henry Ford Estates if you have the money you can do it all there.

    Greenfield Village

The Scarab Club in downtown Detroit...This one is cool because its an art gallery with a courtyard garden and a banquet hall upstairs.  The bathrooms are perfect for getting ready.  The women's is on the lower floor and has a large sitting room and the men's is upstairs (women weren't allowed on the second floor when the club opened.)  Also, you can be the envy of all your friends since it was featured in a bridal magazine and its a historical landmark.

  2. Blossom Heath has a wonderful garden setting for a wedding.  Its in St Clair Shores MI.

  3. Try Grand Haven. A nice beach wedding and a reception nearby.

  4. You might think this is wild and weird.  How about on the car-ferry from Lulling that crosses Lake Michigan to Manitowoc, WI?  It takes four hours and there would be plenty of room on deck for the ceremony, provided it doesn't rain driving you inside.  Everyone could have their cars stowed below and when the ride was over, either return or drive away in WI some where.  Or they could all have left their cars in MI and ride the ferry back to them.  The car-ferry has a snack bar type of food service and those bored on the trip can watch movies, play video games, etc.  I rode the S.S. Badger car-ferry once from WI to MI and I thought it was great, though I was already married at the time.

  5. I am a dj and I've been to a couple of nice places. There is a place called Tina's Country place. Also many golf courses offer great packages and most of them have the receptions outside. If you can tell me what area's your looking at (IE if it's up north in Harbor Springs or if it is down near Detroit) I can help you out a little better.

  6. The Ford Estate by Fairlane town center is nice, so is Henry Ford/Greenfield Village.

  7. The Ludington ferry idea isn't all that bad.  It would be unique.

How about Cobblestone Farms in Ann Arbor?

Where in the LP?  To get more good ideas, you might want to narrow down the search.

  8. Well, the lower peninsula is awfully big....can you be more specific of a location?  Western side?  Eastern side?  Detroit area?  Traverse City?  Petoskey/Charlevoix area?

  9. There are a lot of places that will accommodate but I think one of the nicest is at Greenfield Village in Dearborn.

If you want a Church wedding with your own minister, you can rent the Mary and Martha chapel.  There is no charge for your guests to attend the wedding as there is a separate entrance for them.

Following the service, you Can have your reception right in the village at Lovett Hall.
