where do you get microsoft sam and how do you use it

and the download has to be safe

I don't know, but you don't want it! He gets annoying. You know that if you type something on the internet like on google search box, he'll read it, and he siad he had to pee. lol

You could use Narrator (Start> Run> narrator) or you could go to Control Panel (classic view) and go to Speech. There you can type things in and it will play it back for you.

Microsoft Sam is a voice for Windows XP's built-in text-to-speech engine. It comes with Windows XP; you shouldn't need to download it at all. What do you need it for?

if those answers didn't help then you can get it at download.com or maybe even microsoft.com, there are some xp versions that don't come with it like the earlier home basic edition, if you have a newer one then I'd keep searching for it in control panel/speech.

By SAM, do you mean Software Asset Management System?

I would get it directly from Microsoft.

If you are worried that the download isnt safe, prescribe to MSDN (expensive) and can have it sent to you via DVD.  However, downloading from MS directly should be safe enough.
