Microphone and recording system...?

But what is that called (lol. i know i'm lame) and where can I get one at a good price?

I want it to record my singing, onto the computer? so I can edit it and post it on youtube. How do i do that? can you give me links?

That is a picture of a standard studio microphone.  That is for audio only.  If you want video and audio for YouTube, you will need a video camera to get both video and audio.

If you want to record audio only to your computer, you might consider a USB mic:
