I have performed an expirement to record the growth of plankton in certain enviroments, i have used grid counting slides to count the plankton (Ten grids from each sample). The problem is that there are hundreds of plankton in each grid. Is there a program I can use to automatically count the plankton? They all look pretty much the same and it does not have to be an accurate awnser. Just a genral one. Thank you

  1. not sure , we used to just say, TMTC for too many to count/

  2. you could preform an educated estimation.. such as counting half or a quater of the slide and multiplying accordingly.. or just freaking count the things it'll only take a minute..

it's academically irresponsible and probably grounds for failure to put 'too many  to count'
