Microsoft Update????

Question

I just upgraded to Media Center Edition (XP) and it says i have updates to install. i click typical installation, and click next. a minute later it says cannot be installed. when i turn off it says installing update 1 of 9, then just says windows is shutting down. Why wont it install the updates?! i have service pack 3 on it

You have to go to the Microsoft site and go to upgrades

It will scan your computer and list upgrades needed you click on install upgrades and Microsoft will download them to your computer and install them
