Microwave fan won't turn off?

Question

I woke this morning to the power flickering then the vent fan for the microwave (kenmore 8965580) turned on and wont shut off. The weird thing is that the fan hasnt worked in years. everything else works fine heats and all. The fan buttons dont work and the only way i can turn it off is to shut the breaker off. Any help. thanks brian
