Mike Lowell Hitting Cleanup

Question

Red Sox lineup just released. 3- Otiz 4- Lowell 5- Bay

Thought Bay or Ortiz would hit cleanup..how do you think Lowell will do hitting cleanup? Do you think it'll stay this way for the rest f the season or change?

I think youk would be a better kill up hitting to me or dustin

But we see how tito changes in the next couple days.

This is merely a temporary lineup.  I believe Lowell will bat in the cleanup spot for at least a week to two weeks until Bay is comfortable in Boston.  I think that either Bay or Youk will end up batting 4th.  Here is what I think the Red Sox want to get to as far as a perfect lineup:

1. Ellsbury

2. Pedroia

3. Ortiz

4. Youk

5. Bay

6. Drew

7. Lowell

8. Lowrie

9. Varitek

Obviously you could move anyone from 4-7 around depending on how they perform for the rest of the year.  But I think that Youk will have the highest average and will drive in the most runs.  Bay will have alot of power especially with the Green Monster, Lowell will do average, but he is dwindling away offensively, yet still a great hitter. Lowrie is doing well, Lugo won't play unless Lowrie starts to suck and Cora is hurt.  Varitek is struggling offensively, but he is such a good catcher, they can take the hit offensively to keep him in on defense.

i think its still a consistent line up, everyone in the line up are good hitters, and no it probably wont stay this way, Francona will probably tweak things to try people at different spots..

It sounds like he's trying to take pressure off of Bay, but I'm sure that Bay could be batting 4th in the future if he performs well.

It's just a test probalby Ortiz will stay 3rd ,but Bay will be moved up to 4th I think!
