Mineral foundation or mineral powder??

i dont know that much about makeup, but do you need both mineral foundation and mineral powder? im about to buy L'Oreal Bare Naturale products but i dont know what i should get...

i just want to evn out my skin tone and cover dark spots

i like foundation better, its easy to blend and doesn't dry out you skin

i would recommend the foundation because powder tends to dry out certain skin types but i would also recommend a good primer also
