Mini cassette or HDD?

Trying to find out which kind of storage is the best one for a digital camcorder

Mini DV, HDD, ......

The tapes make a good archival medium and they're much more robust.  It's not just a difference in storage medium though, it's also a difference in video format.  MiniDV has better video quality and is easier to edit.

hdd is good mini dv is better.

reasons why:

better storage and archiving

cheaper to use

best resolution is mini dv.

hdd does have the edge as far as quick transfer to computer but, if you're on hols and you run out of drive space than what? if you're using mini dv then simply put in a new tape.
