Question:

Missed Period again?

I got my first period last year in August, and then it disappeared for a year until July of this year. Now it's August, and it's late again...

I'm pretty sure i'm not pregnant (even though i keep thinking my stomach looks big) because i'm 13 and have NEVER had s*x. I don't even have a boyfriend.

Is this normal, or is something wrong?

I've gained like 3 pounds this summer, and started excersizing a little more...Could this have anything to do with it?

  1. this happens a lot.  when you are going through puberty you also gain weight. your fine.

  2. Well, first of all, you cant be pregnant since you are 13 and have no boyfriend AND have never had s*x...

The first year or so of your period, it may be irregular. Nothing to worry about.

  3. your period will settle itself, believe me i've been irregular since i was 11 and im 17 now, don't think you're pregnant at all, you can only get pregant if you have s*x. you might just be blowted. as for the weight gain, you probably put on some muscle mass. its heavier then fat that what i would think if you were working out more.

  4. Did you just start your period? That happened to me and I went to the doctor and she told me that I had an irregular schedule so I'm on birth control to regulate it. Talk to someone and it helped me so maybe it will help you!

  5. When you first start your period you mite be a little irregular for the first year. its very common for women to have irregular periods throughout there life! ur fine! promise!

  6. The same thing happened to me some months ago. If you have never been sexually active then I dont think you have to worry,

Hun, when I missed my period I had not activity having to do with s*x,

and I thought I was pregnant.

    It's all in your mind.

All of a sudden you feel fragile and dont want to hit your stomach thinking its bigger.

    Dont worry,

    your not pregnant.

If you barely have gotten your period,

the first couple times will be irregular,

because your body is getting used to it.

    I hope I helped.

    :)

    Even though I started rambling.

  7. you have only had it for a year!! it is almost irregular for the first couple of years. I have had my period for almost 2 years and it is still irregular, this summer it even skipped from may to august. Don't worry you will adjust eventually. and if it doesn't then just get on some birth control, but I wouldn't reccomend that until you are older. just keep a pad/tampon with you, just incase.

I know it sucks doesn't it?

  8. Well you're definitely not pregnant so there's no need to be jumping to conclusions! Your body is changing, you might notice that your stomach is rounder, etc. So you're pretty much growing up a bit. It's totally normal. As you've only just started getting your periods, it's not regular just yet and can take up to a couple of years to settle for it to come every month. Enjoy the time you don't have your period as they are a pain in the ****.
