Mitsubishi colt wont start?

Question

when i start it up it turns over but will not fire battery light not on and there is spark coming from the plugs any help appreciated

It's an old nag now you could perhaps try some hay if it doesn't eat it then you could always set light to it boom boom!

Seriously though have you got fuel in the tank? or perhaps a blockage?

maybe your not getting fuel, the fuel pump might not be working, when you turn the ignition on you should hear the pump from the fuel tank for a couple of seconds (this is priming).

if it is`nt working check the fuse 1st. if thats ok try giving the fuel tank a couple of bangs while someone else is trying to start the motor, if it starts working then the fuel pump is the problem.

What year is it?

Your carb could be clogged if you have run it low on fuel or the air/petrol mix is wrong

But that should only be on a very old car really
