What software do I need to unlock mobile (cell) phones, and where can I get it???

It totally depends on the brand and model of phone you want to unlock - you need different software for each phone.

A forum or message board dedicated to this topic would be a good place to start. Just search the forums for your phone model, and with a bit of luck you'll find a link to some unlocking software for it.

I got my Samsung unlocked from Vodafone free - I was not on a contract though.

You need your IMEI number, press *#06# the no comes up on your screen.

Rang customer services, phone unlocked.
