Mobsters App negative UpKeep?

I have a negative upkeep in the Mobsters App on myspace under equipment? I have tried selling some of my equipment but it only goes down slightly. How do I get a positive upkeep?

You need to buy properties. They give you money. While weapons and cars have an upkeep. The reason why the upkeep goes down slightly its because it cost less when you sell it back. So just buy properties to make you the money.
