I have an old Konica Minolta 35mm SLR camera, i dont know exactly what model, its one of those old silver boxy ones and this has A flash,i think 6 different Lenses. And i also have a Pentax K1000 this only has one lens, The konica minolta lens doesnt fit on the Pentax, its the same size but the holes to properly stick it together dont work with this one, is it possible to modify the Konica lens or the Pentax holder in order to make this work? Im not sure if i explained this correctly sorry

  1. You won't find an adapter that will work with the Pentax and give you metering from Minolta lenses.

You would be better served simply selling the Minolta camera and lenses and buying Pentax K-mount lenses (which are available very cheaply on eBay).

Your K-1000 is a classic camera and well worth using.  I'm not sure which Minolta you have, but if it's a Konica Minolta, it might be an autofocus camera.

EDIT:  if you want to sell the cameras on eBay without lenses, don't expect too much.  A K1000 might be $75 in good condition, but I've seen them sell for under $20.  As for the Minolta, it will depend on the Minolta body as to its value.  That's why I say you're better off keeping the K1000.  Lenses on eBay are very inexpensive in the Pentax K-mount.

  2. If the lenses are autofocus and of good quality, get a Sony DSLR body.  Sony bought the designs and manufacturing facilities from Konica/Minolta, so those lenses all fit and function well on the new Sony DSLR cameras.

The Pentax won't accept the Konica/Minolta/Sony mount lenses with any adaptor.  Even if some did make one, you'd lose metering, autofocus, and the ability to focus to infinity.

The K1000 is a nice student camera, but fully manual and limited compared to the Pentax DSLR's.

To be honest, the resale value of either camera body is low, because 35mm cameras have been put on the shelf by DSLR's in recent years.

  3. What you need is a lens adapter. You can find these on ebay. Just search for a Konica Lens to Pentax adapter. Adapters run about $30 and are easy enough to find. Just make sure you get one that matches that lens with the Pentax camera.
