Money Gram?

I need to do something with money gram and I have some questions and concerns about it.

As far as I know money gram is money transfer, (western union is the one I know and the one I am going to use) I need to send money out, what is the process of it?

Do the money I send have to be in cash? or can I use personal check? Do I get charge for doing the money transfer?

Western Union only takes cash to my knowledge.  You just go to one of their offices or authorized offices and tell them how much you want to send and to whom.  There is a slight fee for their service but it's not excessive.  Remember, this is a safe way to send the money but it is the same as sending cash.  You can't get the money back unless whoever you send it to is willing to return it.  Western Union can't do anything for you.

do not use it - receiver could say they never got the money or someone else picked it up and you couldn;t prove otherwise - very expensive to send also
