if i land on the free parking do i get all the money from in the middle ?the money that people have paid in for buying a patch?

I think by the actual rules, no.  But most people have adopted that as an acceptable way to play.  we have always played that way when you have to pay for fees or anything else other than property costs.  That money goes in the middle and is like winning the lottery.  have fun.

That is referred to as 'house rules' and is not the official way to play.  Many people use that variation at home though to add more excitement.

That is not an official rule but a lot of people including myself play that way. It allows the lucky some cash to keep the game moving along.

In regular monopoly, no money is put in the middle, it is just an empty, free parking space.  Various other opolies have rules that state the money paid because of landing on non-property spaces (not income tax), or by card,  be put in the middle, and the person landing on Free Parking gets all there is in the middle.

If you are playing HOUSE RULES, then it depends on the rules in force.  The OFFICIAL RULES (found on the blue piece of cardboard in the box) states that free parking is just that -- a free place to park, and you get no bonuses or penalties...

According to the rules... no money for free parking.

Yes, people do play with money under free parking to make the game more 'fun'.  

If your idea of fun is a game that can last for 6 hours that only ends when people give up in disgust,  then go right ahead and play that way.

Or you could play by the rules and have a decent game that will last only 90 minutes, STILL be fun, and actually finish the game.

thats not how you are suposed to play but many people have changed and altered the rules to make everyone happy with the game they are playing

Although the rules say that you do not receive money for landing on free parking, I have always played that way. My whole family plays that way and everyone that plays with us has to play that way too because it's fun winning money!!! It's a game, and sometimes changing the rules makes a game even better!
