Thinking of getting some component cable...is this a good site to purchase from?...The prices are very low...so I'm not sure if it's reputable enough to purchase from there. Thank you.

Monoprice is reputable, but they import a lot of cheaply made cables.  Make sure you read the fine print because 'component' cables only have to be compatible with standard def video to be called component.

The description needs to say "HD ready" or mention bandwidth numbers around 90 mhz.

While I have bought cheap HDMI cables from Monoprice, I buy my component cables from BlueJeans.  They sell stuff the broadcast and production studios use.  A good 10 ft component cable runs about $60.
