Montepulciano and pienza any good restaurants?

we'll be self catering between Montepulciano and Pienza in July. Any tips for food, walking routes, birdwatching or cultural activities please?

Pienza and Montepulciano are very nice (I advice to you to visit Montalcino too. And especially I advice to drink the famous Brunello in Montalcino.) I went in Montepulciano Montalcino and Pienza two years ago and I spent a very nice week (Food and wine are wonderful).
