Moon lighting question.?

I'm interested in getting a moon lighting system for my aquarium. I'd like to rig it up to where my normal light is on a timer and the moon lighting system is on a photo-transistor that detects when the normal lighting goes of and automatically turns on the lights.

As far as the actual "moon" lights go I found these on ebay and they look like they'd be perfect. What do you think?

LEDs use such a small amount of power, they are also really week in their out put, i would put the regular lighting on a timer and just leave the LEDs on
