Sounds like he wants too much.  It's only a moped.

Its hard to know what to say. I checked the website and a new one would set you back £1,850 and this one is only two years old.

The fact that it has a new back wheel is a bit worrying though. I know a lot of people buy 50cc mopeds when they are teenagers and then thrash them.

I think the important thing is more what you think of the moped and whether you like it. If you have ridden it and you like it then see how low you can get him and then make an offer. If you aren't fussed then check your local Autotrader or search for mopeds online and see what else you can get for your money.

One thing though. If you do decide to buy it, do not look at any second hand sites or magazines as Sod's Law will have it that you see a similar moped for less.
