Moral quandary for Red Sox fans?

The Yankees play the Rays this coming weekend. Who do we cheer for?

So what I am to believe that the Red Sox fans  would rather lose at a chance at a play off spot than cheer, well not exactly cheer but hope the Yankees beat the Rays.

I believe Red Sox fans should pull for the Yankees which would help pull the Red Sox closer to the Rays.  The Yankees don't appear to be a threat to the Red Sox for the wild card since the second place AL central team, Twins or White Sox, look to be more competition at this time.

Im a Yankees fan and I must say im kinda surprised by the response you should obviously cheer for the Yankees considering how far back we are unless your kind of afraid they will win there next 28 in a row. I mean I care about my team not really the others even though im very into the rivalry between the teams. Like last year in the postseason because the Yankees and Red Sox did not play I really did not care if the Red Sox won. Now don't say that im not a true fan of the Yanks because I don't hate your team I get sick when the Yankees lose literally but I don't get sick when the Red Sow win. I guess even though Boston has a great team now Red Sox fans will always be bitter because of Ruth and our 26 WS Championships.

Can't cheer for the Rays, obviously, as we still have a very real shot at 1st place.  But cheering FOR the yanks?  Can't do it.  My answer is cheer for no-one and hope the Rays lose!

Why dont you just worry about what the red sox are doing?  Stop obsessing about the Yankees...oh wait...you must be a red sox fan....you care more about the yankees then you do the red sox.
