Going on a Cruise September 1st on Labor day from L.A. to Ensenada...Probably on Carnival-

Do you think it would be a good time to go then?

Do you think there will be a good crowd..

Is June through August better?

Why is September cheaper than August?

  1. Carnival is a good line to go with for fun,  the reason it's cheaper is that it is in the beginning of the "off season" january is the cheapest time to go, same reason. if you like it hot summer is better .

  2. It is a good time to go.  More people and Families go in August so they raise the price.  With kids back in school by September it won't be so crowded with kids and will be more fun. If you are not bringing kids of course.

  3. also, September is the peak of hurricane season so cruises are a bit cheaper from late july through early october.

  4. Like the first answer, less kids, but also the weather will be real hot. That's OK though as you can wear less clothes. This sounds like a first time cruise for you and a short one to Ensenada is a good choice for first time cruises. It will give you a feel of what a cruise is all about. I have been on 8 cruises, all with Princess, so have fun and enjoy yourself.

  5. The kids are back in school.  School breaks are the most expensive times.
