More Y!A countries?

Question

Down the bottom of the main page there aren't many countries avaliable. Don't you think they should have more?

I'm Finnish and I would love a Finnish version of Y!A.

I'm guessing they figure

1) not enough people in Finland to make it worthwhile and

2) Most Finnish people know enough English to use the English pages.

I can understand what you mean and indeed someone raised the same point last week

There is a practical consideration in that of course it costs money to set up and to administer (e.g. the customer care dept would need to be Finnish speakers), and in the current environment (both in the US, and especially with Yahoo's business/merger situation), it is not likely that they will do this

The second thing is that in a way, it would be a shame.  The "open pool" would disappear - e.g. you would spend more time in the Finnish version and then e.g. in travel there would be less Finns to answer travel questions which would be a shame.

It's always worth a try, but I wouldn't hold your breath :0)

Several people have placed different suggestions and either yahoo staff just ignore it, or you get the standard "Thank you for your suggestion, we will look into it etc etc"
