More hamster help!?

Question

when will my pups start eating real food and drinking from a water bottle?also is it ok if i add new bedding if she has used most of it?also (sorry!) how many pups does a hamster usually have?please help!and thanx for answering:)

They said that in 10 days they'll be eating solid food for 10 days.

Pups will slowly start with real food from the second week of their birth. But they would still be alternating solid food with their mother's milk during this time.They do not have much necesscity for fresh water at this stage since they would be drinking their mother's milk, however it is better to keep a dish of fresh water in their cage at this time since they are not used to the water bottle.

From third week onwards, they would be eating proper real food only and by this time they should be used to drinking water from the water bottle too.

Are the pups two weeks old? Do not change her bedding until the pups are two weeks old. The mother hamster does not like any intrusion in the first two weeks of the babies' birth and she might harm the pups. Wait until the pups are two weeks old, then approach the cage. If the mother hamster looks okay with you handling her cage, then you can change the bedding otherwise you would have to wait until the 3rd week.

Syrian hamsters can have upto 18 babies at a time, the average is about 8 babies.Dwarfs can have upto 14 babies at a time and the average is about 4 babies.

My hamsters started eating from their mommy's stash of food just before opening their eyes at about  10 days old. You can add new bedding but dont take any out until the babies are can see and are walking about and as long as mommy seems ok with it. A hamster does not have only  2 or 3 pups unless she was frightened and she ate them. She usually has 5-8 survive but can have over a dozen if she's healthy and well cared for.

im not to sure. i would google it but usually hamsters have about 1 or 2 maybe 3 if your lucky.
