Question:

Morning After Pill??

Last night I had s*x & afterwards when the guy went to remove the condom... it wasn't there. It had broke & gotten lodged inside of me. So he got me the morning after pill. I didn't think it was that serious, but then I went to the official site & omg it seems so risky!

I JUST got over my period, like I stopped bleeding yesterday. I have a regular 28-30 day cycle. I am not really concerned about getting pregnant, because again I am very regular & should not be ovulating. I know sperm can live up to 5 days in the v****a, but I shouldn't be ovulating for at least twice that amount of days from now. Also, I am not on birth control, but again have the same regularity.

I am just not sure what to do. I really don't think I could get pregnant, I'm just trying to figure out which is more risky. But then of course I am worried that if I don't take it & I do get pregnant... I don't even want to imagine that.

So what are my chances of getting pregnant? Has anyone taken the morning after pill, what were it's side effects? HELP?!?

  1. Ive taken it before, and I had no side effects. Better be safe than sorry, the side effects cant be worse than getting pregnant at a young age when you dont want to be....

  2. I've actually just taken it. Don't worry about the risks, it only happens to one in thousands of those who take it. If you don't mind being pregnant, don't take it.

Edit: It's been two days since I took it and I am perfectly fine!

  3. Honestly, it sounds like cycle wise you are correct and you wouldn't be pregnant...but if it was me, I would be too paranoid to NOT take the morning after pill.

You have to do a cost benefit analysis for yourself. Are you willing to risk pregnancy further than you already have? Because while it might be unlikely, there is still the chance.

And you to have to remember that the risks they list for medications occur very infrequently. But they have to list them to cover their legal liabilities.

  4. There are times in a woman's cycle when she is less likely to get pregnant but it's always possible.  Your boyfriend was nice to get the pills for you, just take them.  If you have the pills don't they have the side effects listed on the package?
