  1. Well in Casa Blanca you can spend just one day, the more interesting is in Marrakesh and other places, ask to a travel agency in where can show you magazines and programs about Morocco, the price will be the same and you will save time and money.

About cloth, you can travel with fresh cloth, dress long or pants, shirt long not showing your arms, hair it doesnt matter.

Well the doesn`t drink beers or wine, then they dislike this, dont look the men eyes, because this mean love for them.

And if you need something more I have friends there.

  3. Both of the other answerers are correct depending on your choice.  I was in Morocco last Fall and stayed in Casablanca for most of the time.  It is not a good tourist spot, but has a culture more geared toward American culture.  You will see as many young women wearing "Western" clothing as you will women wearing "Moroccan" cothing with jelleba and hijab.  There are many beaches and motels that have special amenities.  As the first answerer suggested, you should definitely visit the Mosque as it is breathtaking especially at night.  There aren't really any souks to speak of at least not like you would find in tourists spots.  There are some that sell T-Shirts, jewelry, kitchen supplies, etc., but I didn't see any that sold good souvenirs like carpets, handbags, shoes, nice jewelry, etc., you'll need to go to a tourist town for those and I would recommend either Essaouira, Fez, Marrakech, Agadir which all also have beautiful beaches.  In Casablanca there is the twin towers shopping mall(prices will be much more because there is very little haggling if any.), Pizza Hut, KFC, McDonalds as the 2nd answerer suggested, but you should try out the local cuisine.  The pizzas are better than you would get at Pizza Hut because they are more of what we would consider gourmet pizza here.  Enjoy your vacation.

  4. Casablanca is probably the least interesting of all the major cities in Morocco... however with that said you MUST visit the Hassan II Mosque which is the only mosque open to non-muslims.

For more information about the mosque head over to http://www.bestmorocco.com. I have been there and it is absolutely breathtaking!

As for dress... if you are going alone (as a female) I would highly recommend having a male companion and calling him your husband (this applies to Rabat as well). I would also wear a head scarf and dress... appropriately, no skin.

Although Casablanca and Rabat are more modern than some of the more southern cities in Morocco it keeps you out of trouble with the men in the area.

The culture IS Muslim and it is advisable to observe their way of life... you are a visitor in their home(land). With that being said, Moroccans are the most hospitable people in the entire world and it is not unusual to have people literally invite you into their homes for a feast.

Have lots of fun take lots of pictures (if you are taking of people get thier permission first) and create memories that will last a lifetime.
