Morrison. Jimmie is so over rated. He did two things (the wa wa peddle or whatever, and tried to make feedback sound good.) I'm going out on a limb here by saying Hendrix sucks. He's run of the mill at best. If he lived into old age his music would be passe by now. And I've listened to his music and his fans. I still don't get it. Hendrix who? He sucks.

Are you serious? There has never been a more over-rated "artist" than Morrison - well other than Kurt Cobain. Unless of course you're talking about Van - but of course you're not.

Morrison is overrated, Hendrix isn't. So its going to be Hendrix.

To the person above me you forgot to take into consideration that Morrison and Kobain wrote a lot of the most original and influencial songs ever. And writing technically does make them artists even if they got caught up in their fame.

Thats so hard but I would have to say hendrix, because not only did he have a hypnotic voice (like morrison) he played the guitar like no ever did or ever will.
