  1. self portraits using paints. I am a mother of 4 and treasure the paintings my children have brought home from school. My youngest daughter's teacher also traced their silhouettes on black paper and had them write their name underneath it. She then framed them in inexpensive, dollar store frames. Loved it!

  2. -Making a macroni frame with their picture in the middle

  3. a flower from her own garden and the ones i did not step on.

  4. I realize that Montessori encourages hands-on tasks oriented activities however, might you consider doing this?  Every spring we have Mother's Day Tea.  The children decorate large brimmed straw hats(from Oriental Trading Company) with paper flowers that they make for their mothers.  We prepare some simple finger foods and hot/cold teas.  The children dress up for a fashion show.  Girls wear mommy's clothes, jewelry, hats, purses, shoes etc...  Boys wear their "Sunday Best".  The children walk down the red carpet to cat-walk music, while we read off designer name brands and describe what they are wearing.  This of course takes preparation and practice, but, it's well worth the effort.  At the end of the show the children present their mother with a simple flower and say something special to them.  We have done this for the past 10 years and it never fails to be one of the highlights of our school year.

Another simple activity you might consider is asking the children to draw a picture of mommy and add dictation at the bottom of the page describing how they feel about her.  Get the dictation on the computer first and copy. Don't forget to date it! Frame the picture, or buy frames at the 99 cent store or Big Lots. Mom will have a special memory that she can keep forever.  I hope this helped!

  5. well for my mom i make breakfast in bed then i take her shopping after that we go out to eat lunch then we come back home and i make her a bubble bath then she relax.

  6. I am an Elementary Montessori Teacher.  You could schedule a Mother's Day Tea Party before school, after school or on a weekend.  Give prior lessons on manners, flower arranging, and being a good host.  They could even do cooking lessons on making mini sandwiches or other finger-foods.  Then, at the party, allow the students to run the show.  Complete it with pretty table cloths, the flowers they've arranged and a possible serenade or poem reading!

  7. play with mother, help mother to cook or go out with your mother.
