Mould in the bathroom ceiling?

I am renting and they dont have an exhaust in the bathroom. We always open up the window but we are getting mould along the ceiling of the bathroom/shower. I have tried bleech and it dosent work. what should i do , i dont want this to come against us on our bond as it has just happened and we arnt repsonsible but i dont want it there its grose. Anyone have ideas? Please

  1. Go to Lowes web site and do a search for mildew.  There are all sorts of products for your problem.


  2. Opening the window and cleaning the mould with bleach are about the best you can do.  

    How long have you been in the property?  I suggest you draw the owner's attention to the situation and ask what he recommends. If he is not aware of the situation there could be problems when you vacate the property.

  3. the problem comes probably from upstairs not from your bathroom

  4. We have the same problem. Use vinegar to kill the mold, then bleach, then paint with anti mold paint!

    Use a gloves and clean cloth or sponge. Careful using bleach as it can take the wall colour out. Hopfully yours is white ceiling.
