Moving a washer and dryer?

If I move my washer and dryer approx. 5 miles, are they ok to be laying on their sides in the back of a SUV? Will it hurt anything on the appliances?

  2.   You won t hurt them as long as you drive reasonable.. You ll get some extra drainage of water from the washer so be prepared for it  GL
