Moving to Italy....?

Question

My family might be moving to venice, taly for two years. I have already lived in other places around europe but i was just wondering what its like there? is it a nice place to live, etc?

I was in Venice three times and during the each visit I was delighted as well.

It's a charming place and I can only envy you moving out there.

I'm sure life in Venice is really pleasant.

You'll fall in love with Italy! Venice is full of tourists but is maravillosa. Milan,Rome , Florence are cities that will give you good impressions. Milano for 'la moda', the way of life and Rome and Florence for landscapes, arts ecc.

There are many places where is nice to live. Is a world that you must know!!

I went on a school trip to Italy and we visted Venice for four days and it was nowhere near enough.

It is SO SO SO SO SO beautiful there, the people are all nice, just walking down the street you get the most beautiful views ever, it's really fun to feed the pigeons in Piazza San Marco (Saint Mark's Square), all the architecture is beautiful, the food (GELATO!) is good, there's a McDonald's behind piazza san marco (lol...), everyone is nice, you can buy beautiful masks and murano glass..

basically,

It's beautiful, so are the people, the buildings, the food, the shopping the EVERYTHING.

It was my favourite place on the whole trip, despite having to lug my 20 kilo suitcase from the town's edge to my hotel (near the station)....lol.

BUT IT'S JUST.....AWESOME.

you are so lucky! i'm so jealous.

i'm italian....

Venice 4 me is a wonderful city but i think it's better to stay there for holiday and not live for a long time...

MILANO IS BETTER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :) (I LIVE THERE)

I'm Italian and I study in Venice and lived there. It's a beatiful city with nice people! There are lots of students. It's quite but not too much, full of art, artists, story...Well, Milano is too much chaotic, Venice is better!

Those people telling you to move to Milan cos its the best city in Italy they must be intoxicated by the car fumes and they're not thinking clearly...Milan it's a disaster busy and not really friendly. If you're on a good budget Venice its probably a fantastic place to live just remember that it's a touristic city with the cons being the high costs of living. Not knowing your budget all I can say is enjoy your stay.
