Question:

Mp4 nano 4gb keeps turning off

hi we have a brand new mp4 nano 4 gb that downloads just fine but when we go to listen or watch a video on it it keeps turning off, it does that especially when we hook the headphone on... very annoying .... the battery seems ok.... help what can be wrong?! thank you
