Mucous Plug?!! TMI!!?

Question

I'm 31 weeks pregnant tomorrow.

Well, I'll start with yesterday. Me and my partner had s*x and it wasn't till on the evening when I went to the toilet and looked in my knickers I noticed that i had bled a little, just under the size of an english 10p coin. I didn't think much into it because when i wiped there was no blood and I know a small amount of bleeding is common after s*x. So I didn't think too much of it.

Tonight, I went to the toilet for a wee and when i wiped i noticed it was quite wet down below (sorry, tmi) and so i looked and there was a glob of thick, jelly-like, greenish-orangey discharge on the paper. Could this be my mucous plug or just normal discharge?

It was very thick and and it was the colour that made me think twice about it being discharge. I saw my midwife on Tuesday and she tested my urine and it was fine so i dont think it would be a UTI.

Sound like your plug. Mine was a blob of white/clear goo about the size of bouncy ball. I lost mone a month before I went into labor. Hang in there, it could be any time now or a while away. Losing your plug just means that your cervix has begun to open and/or soften.

Sounds like what I saw with my three babies, go and ask, they won't think you are over reacting.

sounds very much like the show. Contact your midwife or doctor tomorrow as it is a sign of pre-term labour, and also an increased risk of infection.

your mucus plug should be clear with possibly pink or red tints to it... i would ask your midwife about it being greenish orange since that sounds like an infection.

that was just some of your your plug having s*x will help you go into labor  so that is what that is and if you had a blooded show with it you lost all of you plug so you might want to slow down on the s*x until you are at lest 36 weeks so you want have your lil angel to early

I don't know about the orange and green but if it was the mucus plug then I hope you go into labor much later cause the baby would be kinda early right?  I hope the baby will be healthy and strong!  Good Luck!!

i think you should call the labour ward and just run it past them as it is a funny colour for a show ore than likely its nothing but they will be the best people to ask good luck.
