After the 1972 Munich Massacre, last remaining terrorist Jamal Al-Gashey was quoted as saying:

"I'm proud of what I did at Munich because it helped the Palestinian cause enormously. Before Munich, the world had no idea about our struggle, but on that day, the name of Palestine was repeated all around the world."

-- last remaining Munich terrorist Jamal Al-Gashay

I have tried to look this up on every possible search engine and links do come up but all are just the quote. I need to include this quote in a research paper due Tuesday. But I really need the source for it. Like when, where and to who he said it to. Anyone have a link or know?

  1. A documentary "One Day in September" was made about the Munich massacre; this last-standing terrorist was interviewed and probably made the statement there.
