with the advent of unreal gas prices, how long before the ins industry kills off todays muscle cars?

  1. All things considered, not all the muscle cars get that bad of mileage. The Corvette is on the way out for sure. The Challenger may not last too long (at least in that form). Some of the Shelby Mustangs may cease to be. In general, however, the Mustang, Charger, and Camaro (concept) will not/do not get that bad of mileage. All of these will/do offer a V6 version in addition to the V8. Truck models will severally drop. I would not be surprised if GM cut GMC's personal truck line and Chevy's commercial truck line.


  2. It's already happening. Last month the Honda Civic was the best selling car in the country. That's the first time a car beat out the Ford F-Series since 1991. With CAFE standards coming soon it's gonna lead to the doom of these 270+ HP family sedans
