Where can you get a program that you can make your own cds with and how much do they cost.

I would use Nero burning rom. Check it out www.nero.com.

There are plenty of other software but that is the best one, easiest to use, most reliable, and most powerful.

There are torrent websites you can download it in, but I would recommend buying it to avoid downloading software with viruses, spam, or malware.

If your only goal is to make a recording without adding any mix to it then a simple mic will do that. However if you want to add some reverb compression echo etc then you will need a more sophisticated program.

Remember the quality of the microphone is also important. If you sing into a 20 mic don't be surprised if the quality is bad.

that you will find most performers use. Don't forget it needs a cord and will also need an adapter if you are plugging into a computer.

For creating a cd Roxio or Nero will be fine. However, most new music from indie performers today isn't released on cd but starts on MP3's. MySpace gives you a great opportunity to show people what you can do.
