  1. Even if they do the CAMARO will BURY ALL!!!!!!!

  2. Not until 2010 at the soonest, which means the mustang gets beat like a red headed stepchild by the camaro, because by no means is the camaro 5 years behind the mustang, the base V6 camaro is rumored to have 300+ hp with the SS models pushing 390 and 420hp V8's, far outclassing the mustang GT.  A GM exec even said they quit bringing stangs along for the test drives because they couldn't keep up.

Basically, the camaro has whipped the mustang (03-04 cobra excluded) since the intro of the LT-1 in 1993 and nothing is going to change here.  h**l a new GT can't beat the discontinued LS-1 camaro and it's had 5 years to catch up!

  3. No they just opened up a complete new market-

    Mustang spec.

When the race versions of the current Mustang can get 700 HP, all they will have to do is let some of that technology trickle over to the stock version.

The Chevrolet Camaro is already 5 years behind the current Mustang, and I don't expect it ever catch up. After all, it has always been the follower and not the leader.

  4. The new Mustang isn't due till 2010 or 2011. Supposedly it'll get the 5.0L Cammer and possibly a variant of the new Boss/Hurricane V8 Ford has been working on and off on. Hopefully the base model will get the DOHC Duratec 3.5L that's used in the new Taurus/Edge/Flex. It's a much better fit for the Mustang than the 4.0L SOHC truck engine that's used in the Mustang now.

  5. No, they will do minor changes to inprove performance, handling ,safety

mustang was fords answer to the corvette, camaro was chevys answer to the mustang. charger was cryslers answer to the grand am race and NASCAR
