My HUGE horse!!?

I am have a 16.0 hand horse, and i am 4ft. what is teh biggest horse you ever rode?

I'm 5'9 (at the time I was about 5'4) and rode an 18.0 hand Percheron mare named Pearl.

Such a fun ride it was... Until she rolled in the lake that I cooled her off by. x[

I have rode Shires & Clydesdales (18hh) when I was growing up. The man I worked for would get them, I'd train & he'd sell. They are awsome to ride! Big pillows! LOL

18hh he was a BEAST lol. But he was really like a gigantic puppy. It was rather intimidating though.

If you just mean rode....and not owned then it would be 17.0 H that was too tall for me.

The tallest horse I have ever ridden was 17.3/ 18 hands ish.

the tallest horse I have ever owned was 16.1 hands

the tallest horse I have ever owned and ridden WILLINGLY (note I did not ride the 16.1 willingly, or often) is 14.3 hands

I like to stick to ponies/small horses!

We had a team of Shires when I was a kid.  The old man dad got them from had used them for logging.  They were awesome & gentle, but not saddle broke.  You could ride them all over the place bareback with a halter.  They were so big compared to us, our legs stuck straight out to the sides.

Jack was 18 h.h. jet black 2 blue eyes & Jake was 18.2 h.h. & jet black, one blue eye.

Next was Jeopardy, a 17.1 Running Quarter gelding I roped off of when I was a teenager.

I'm 5'5" by the way.

I noticed 2 questions above showed horses that were 16.5 & one showed one as being 17.5

OOPPSS!!!  Horses are measured in hands, each hand is 4 inches.  There is no 5.  Once the horse hits.....let's say 16.3, the next one up is 17 hands.

Well, now there is one who didn't read my edit & has a horse that is 20.5 hands.

I never road him but i handled an 18hand horse. He was so sweet I think he was a Hanoverian. I known that he jumped.

I have a belgain who is 4 years old and is 19.2hh.  Me and my friend were riding him and we trotted him for the first time because were just starting to break him and he stared bucking because he had a HUGE horse fly one him.  It was the funniest/scarries thing ever.  But he's the biggest horse that i ever rode.....  I'm 5'10 though, and my friend is 5'3 :)

first of all for the first answer a horse can't be 16.5 the most is 16.4 then it moves to the next hand. The biggest horse ihave ever riddden is 18.2

I'm 5,7ft but the biggest horse I've ever ridden (and showed) is a Saddlebred named Smilely who is the biggest chicken in the world lol and about 16.5-17.5 hands.

He melts in your hands lol, as I said, big chicken, it's like the whole elephant scared of the mouse scenario/

My QH i have now is 16.3 hands, I have a hard time getting up there with the saddle let alone with out the saddle.

Hey. I have ridden a 16.3 hh horse. He is a 23 y/o Appendix QH gelding. He is HUGE. I am only 12 and am 4'10", so, I usually need help up. Sometimes, when I don't want to bother anyone, a gate can come in helpful.

17.2hh Standardbred, I'm 5'7 he seemed really big at first but it wasn't that bad after awhile and he was a real sweety.

Just so you know I don't want to be rude or anything but some people have put 17.5 or 16.5 and horses are measured in hands which is 4 inches so its always 16hh,16.1hh,16.2hh,16.3hh, 17hh  there is no 16.5 or 16.4.

16.5hh it was a huge half percheron half TWH. her name was Molly and she was a beautiful horse. and I am 5'4 lol so long hurtful way down if I fell off.

18 hand horse(draft). . . HE WAS THE BEST!?!?!?! sry for that out burst, but i love tall horses!. my horse was 16.2 and i loved his hight as well. i'm 5'6 and i just feel so much better on a horse over 16 hands. . . personal pref.
