My Lips are always chapped!?

I went on this medication called accutane a few years ago. It was because I had bad acne. I was on it for about eight months. It dries out your skin and lips, so when I was on it, like everyone else on the medicine, I was always putting on chapstic because my lips were always so dry. It is supposed to stop when you go off it.

I have been off it for almost two years now though, and my lips are always so dry, I have to carry chapstic with me everywhere, it is annonying and a bit embarrasing.

I was wondering if anyone knew what I might be able to do about this, or why its like this. I heard that it is possible to become addicted to chapstic in a way, you use it so much and because of it your lips awlays feel like they need it when they don't.

Don't panic, our lips being chapped means our body is working like it should be.

Chapped lips usually has nothing to do with us, but the enviroment we're in.

If your climate is dry, or humid at larger levels than normal, your lips are just reacting to the climate and the enviroment around you. Carrying chapstick around is good, and it's never called an addiction when it comes to chapstick.

Chapstick is not an addiction because we're just doing something so common like buckling our seatbelt, or going to the bathroom, we don't always notice it and it's involuntary. You're just making your lips nice and smooth, which is great!

You could try some stuff called Carmex. I have it and it's only about £2.50. I used to have chapped lips but now they are really smooth. I put it on every night before I go to bed, and every morning when I wake up.

mine are always too! but everywhere i go, i carry my chapstick classic;).
