Retribution
Celestial bodies fall to the Earth and scorch my freshly bathed skin
Flames engulf me in infrared madness
Screaming...who is screaming?
I cannot tell my own voice from the masses.
All the world falls silent in hot death
lives are extinguished by unseen powers
That reside in pretend fortresses..
I float above the carnage,
From where these wings came I do not know
I am painless, without substance.
I see my earth, dead and withered in an apocalyptic storm
seemingly screaming am I
writhing as I descend towards destruction
clawing at the air for salvation
realizing I have no sanctuary
from this imminent death
Accept your fate, your destiny as I die
crumpled bones without dignity
scattered amongst millions
a horrifying revenge for years of spite.
