My Stutter Is weird?

Question

ive had a stuter for like 6 years now and its really annoying i have to wait to say something i.e Hi Im .............Micheal i have to take long pauses because i cant say the word but its weird because i was talking to freinds over the internet and when i had my mike turned on i stuttered but as soon as i turn it off and say a few sentences i dont stutter is this because im scared to talk to people im really confused?

unfortunately don't quote me on this but I think that's the evil of a stutter.. .they only come to the front when your brain knows that you're being heard.... you can be home alone and talk out loud and be fine, but as soon as your brain knows someone is there everything goes to pot...

Don't be scared, its not that you are scared of talking to people its just a stupid part of your brain that's got muddled... I'm no expert in the field but there are plenty of things you can do to stop getting like that...

First port of call would be your doctor - explain whats been going on, and they will give you sound advice, secondly I would recommend perhaps starting some sport or pyhsical activity to help you out confidence wise...

dont sweat it though... its really not the end of the world

Find a speech-therapist and they will generally be the most help to you.

For some reason, it is easier for stutterers to talk without stuttering when they are talking to themselves, to a pet, or any time there is no time restraint or anyone else listening.
