Hes 10 weeks old and has been very fussy today and refuses to eat, he has been drooling a lot the last week or so, so I want to guess hes beginning to teethe. The only comfort he finds is to fall asleep on my chest while I rub his back. I've tried everything I normally do burp, feed (breast and bottle),see if hes over/understimulated etc. nothings working, any suggestions please?

  1. My daughter went through the same thing when she started teething because of the pain sometimes they don't want to eat too much. I would try some baby orajel and as long as he feeds even a few suckles he will be fine. When baby's are hungry and the food is there they will eat. I would at least call a doctor though because a lot of times babys get ear infections and they can't tell you what hurts but the heat from your body makes the pain stop for a while. As far as the eating goes make the hole in the nipple just a tiny bit larger so he doesn't have to work as hard to get it out taking presure off the gums.

  2. I don't have a solution for you, but i can tell you my son went through the same thing when he was teething and i was going crazy trying to make him eat. When he was hungry and felt up to eating he ate. So i'm sure when you little guy is up to eating he will

  3. If he still won't eat, I would do two things.

    1)  Take him in to see the doctor for direction on pain relief.

    2)  Try feeding him with a medicine dropper, not a full dropper but partially filled so that you don't gag him.  Once he gets some, it may make him feel like eating.  Then, try to nurse him.  If that doesn't work, give him the bottle.

And yes, that does sound like teething.
