My ball python isnt eating?

she just crawls along the thawd mouse l*****g it and yawning but not eating it what should i do to get her to eat it

If he is an older snake don’t worry too much about it not eating...snakes go on hunger stirkes all the time. I had a ball python that didn’t eat for almost a year...I have another one that just got off of a 6 month hunger stirke. I had a blood python that went on a hunger strike for 5 or 6 months. My adult kingsnake went on a hunger strike for about 4 months. Snakes just do that. Unless your snake is losing muscle mass I wouldn’t worry about it too much. Don’t offer it food too often you will stress it out...just offer it food as normal...every 10 days or so. If your snake is used to being handled a lot go ahead and handle him normally.

some pythons just go through short phases without eating. it's nothing serious. just watch her. if it lasts more than a few weeks, take her to the vet.

Yawning or continuous stretching of the jaws is often a sign of respiratory infection in snakes.  You might want to take the snake to a vet.

This would also explain for the lack of appetite.

Try live mice or rats they might be grose but your snake might lilke them better. You can buy feeder mice at most pet stores. you can get them in a small box of 2 and just dumpin the cage so you dont have to touch them. I garontee your snake will eat them

I would say take her to the nearest vet

There they will supply you with the Best food for her

And give her a Good medication which will make her more active and Eat more

*they might make her eat wet food not dry*

Many snakes stop eating around shedding time.  But, you should take her to an exotics vet.

is the mouse warm. or mabey if it is its to hot. or she might not be hungry or getting ready to shed.
