My bedroom walls are so plain?

Question

I didn't really know where to post this so I just posted it here.

Anyway I'm 15 and my bedroom is so plain. (my bedroom isn't really as big as it looks I took these pics with my phone and it makes everything look farther away than it actually is)

The furnature and comforter has to stay.

I'm going to ask for gift cards for JCP or Kohls or places like to decorate my room for christmas.

Any tips on decorating any links to things I should put in my room?

I can't paint my whole room because my dad already said he's not doing it but I'm thinking of sponge paining the wall just behind my bed.

Can anyone give links to things that would look good on my walls It's so plain

i have my room sponged n i love it but if ur on a budget go to like walmart or some store like that n get the cards with the colors on it like border each wall with it

1)the cards are free

2)it will brighten up ur room

You could paint an accent wall. That's what I did for my room (3 walls are blue and 1 is lime green). You could try using pink or lime green or just a darker shade of the color you have as an accent. Get one of those picture frames that has room for about 20 pictures, fill it with memories, and then hang it on your wall. Try posters of your favorite bands and celebs. You could also put up shelves to put decorative pieces on. Have fun!

Paint one of the walls a solid colour. Like the yellow or the blue of your curtains.  And make sure you put up at least one big mirror.  It will make your room look bigger.  An area rug can also help to make it look like the room is divided into two sections. But make sure it is a light coloured rug, you dont want to draw the eye down in a small rug.
