when I am chatting and I hear little mechanical puff before thy are about to respond. Does this mean that some one is logging on and off?

  1. Depending on the program it could mean different things. It is probably an alert of some-sort.. either an incoming IM or something to do with one of your buddies/friends/contacts.


  2. Maybe. It depends on the program you use to chat. Most of them allow you to turn off sounds in options.
