My dentist is a troll.?

Question

I'm a 15 year old boy who went in for a regular check-up, only to find that i might need root canal. It was fairly obvious that my cavity wasn't that big, OR deep. It hasn't even reached the dentine. She is really pessimistic, but acts completely different when around my parents.

To add to the gayness, my parents wont let me switch dentist.

What can i do? Shall i catch her red-handed using a tape recorder? Nah... too cloak and dagger.

Any ideas?

she is probobly trying to scare you into taking better care of your teeth.  Likely you have been going there for a long time so maybe she still thinks you are a little kid who is too dumb to understand grownup language.  Tell her next time you are in that you would like to be talked to openly and honestly about your dental problems

Well, what is she really doing that you think is bad? I don't really get it but I guess go to another dentist to get a second opinion.

i mean im getting braces, and one dentist told me i would have to get FOUR teeth extracted[how g*y is that??]

while the other told me my teeth dont need extraction, and i'm getting braces tomorrow!!
