My friend has this crazy notion...?

So, my friend has this cray idea that owning a Range Rover or a BMW makes someone rich, like every time we are out she will point at a Range Rover or BMW (usually the SUV x5) and say OMG they are so lucky to be rich...she needs to get over this and realize that it is really annoying right? I just don't know why she thinks this...

Impressed with material possesions of others. Perhaps the travel industry has a place for her, concierge her a ride...or just say, "That's nice."

Actually it make the person more POOR.  The maintenance is extremely high on these cars.

Your friend is just envious of rich people.  You can't fix that for her.  You just need to stay out of the way and don't get caught in her dillusions (like borrowing money from you, etc.)

In reality I found that it is the POOR people who like these expensive toys (because they wish they could be rich), while many rich people grew up with them and couldn't careless if they drove in a Honda or BMW to get around.

I live in NYC with many people like that.  She will never get over it.  The MORE toys she actually gets, the more she will feel she need.  And yes, it is VERY annoying.

If people can afford a $35-65,000 car and afford to pay the insurance, maintenance, and premium gas, then they are obviously rich.

I own a 1998 BMW 328is, and a 2000 BMW M5.

I'm poor as h**l!!!!!!!! Why am I poor? Because I own two BMWs. The fact that I'm 19 probably has something to do with it as well...
